Within the intricate tapestry of “Vibrant Vinyasa,” my yoga journey unfolds beyond the confines of the mat, blossoming into a profound odyssey marked by Kundalini awakening.

Over five transformative years, each flowing movement becomes a choreography with the divine—an intimate dance that extends beyond the physical, permeating every breath and motion, and infusing vitality into every aspect of my being.

The genesis of this artistic collection finds its roots in the seemingly discarded bottle caps scattered across diverse shorelines—a poignant testament to our relentless consumption.

These humble artifacts, salvaged from beaches far and wide, converge to compose intricate patterns, mirroring the sinuous ascent of Kundalini energy. Purposefully adorned with reggae colors, they symbolize the vital energy centers, or chakras—grounding, solar plexus, self-awareness, and love. Each cap, once dismissed as debris, now serves as a visual allegory of transformation, echoing the profound journey of Kundalini’s ascent.

Amidst these salvaged treasures, a serendipitous discovery emerges—a lighter unearthed during a contemplative stroll along the shore, bearing the inscription “pride.” Beyond being a mere artifact, this find symbolizes resilience and strength in the face of societal challenges. As a black woman navigating a world rife with biases, it stands as a powerful reminder that pride, ambition, and success can coalesce harmoniously, even amidst adversity.

The fusion of discarded bottle caps, reggae colors, and the unexpected “pride” lighter paints a vivid narrative of personal and spiritual metamorphosis.

“Vibrant Vinyasa” is more than a collection; it is a visual testament to the alchemy that transpires when mindful movement, discarded remnants, and serendipitous discoveries converge to create a transformative and visually compelling journey—a journey that whispers of strength, resilience, and the enduring beauty found in the dance of one’s own awakening.
